Life is good

I am such a slacker! I have neglected to keep up with this site. I am very dedicated to my job and put alot of energy into it. I now have moved on from that job of 11yrs and will be a student next year. Also my boyfriend and I are in the process of buying property to open our own business. Life is good!

GIVE THANKS

Be thankful for the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means you have enough to eat. Be thankful for the mess you cleaned up after a party, because it means you have been surounded by friends. Be thankful for the taxes you pay, because it means you're employed. Be thankful that your lawn needs mowing and your windows need fixing, because it means you have a home. Be thankful for your heating bill, because it means you are warm. Be thankful for the laundry, because it means you have clothes to wear. Be thankful for the space you find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means you can walk. Be thankful for the lady who sings off-key behind you in church, because it means you can hear. Be thankful when people complain about the government, because it means we have freedom of speech. Be thankful for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours, because it means you're alive.

Short Stories

The time is 10:38 pm and I am anxiously waiting for a t.v. show to start at 11:00. It's a quiet night, with the tempature at about 70 degrees. My kitty is curled up next to me, happy and purring away. When I reach over to pet him he purs even louder and looks up at with a smile in his eyes. A window is slightly open to let in the warm summer breeze. Outside I can hear traffic passing by, the faint sound of voices and neighborhood dogs barking in the night. I have heard a few loud exhausts, but nothing compares to the bass coming from the cars. I have counted 4 on volume WOW!!! You know it's loud when the pictures on your walls shake. Yeeeeesa!!!!!!
Tonight there is a small time poker game going on in the other room. Through the door I can hear voices, but I can't make out what anyone is saying. Only the constant laughter and cheers of excitement echo my home. At times I can make out the faint sounds of coins ratteling on the table. My thoughts are "win big money honey!" It's now time to sign out and settle in for a great show. Good night.
